Mini Review Monday: New Organic EOS Lip Balms

Hi Beauties!

Last week I received the new EOS lip balm line for free from ChickAdvisor, which is a website where you can sign up and take surveys to receive free items. I get several campaigns a month and the only catch is you have to review the product on their website! I love free stuff!

For this week’s Mini Review Monday, I thought I’d give you the rundown of the new formula of the EOS lipbalms.

  • URL: I cannot find these online! If you find the URL, please feel free to share below!
  • Price: ~3.97 CAD (Depending on location)
  • Where to purchase: Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart & most drug stores
  • Pros: Price, Texture, Scent
  • Cons: Only available in 2 scents so far
  • Do I recommend this? Yes

The new formula claims to be made with organic oils, shea butter and fruit extracts. It is certified Organic and 100% natural, contains sustainably sourced ingredients, is dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, paraben and petrochemical-free, gluten free and is not tested on animals. The main ingredients are Sunflower Seed Oil, Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Carnauba Wax, Jojoba Seed Oil, Shea Butter and Olive Fruit Oil.

So you might be asking yourself, so what? What’s different? While I do like EOS and I do purchase them from time to time, my main qualm about them is the texture; I find them to be very hard at first, and you really need to work at the balm to soften it over the course of time – towards the middle of the product is when I find it’s softest and applies the best.

WELL, with this new formula, they’re soft from the get go, and the scent is amazing, it’s much stronger and natural smelling (versus fake Strawberry and chemically Mint). This may be a deterrent to some who are sensitive to smell, but for me, it was great! Highly recommend these.
