Happy Sunday, Beauties!
It’s been a hectic few weeks, hence why I missed last week’s Sample Sunday. I will try my best to deliver this on a weekly basis, if not, bi-monthly basis!
This week, I picked the following 5 samples.
Name: Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream
Price: Full Size = $37.00 – $63.00 CAD
Review: Even though the label clearly reads “gel”, I was totally expecting a cream – User error, clearly! Even though I like gel moisturizers typically in the morning, I usually look for something super thick and moisturizing at night. However, I was shocked at how moisturizing and thick this gel cream was. My face felt super plump and hydrated!
Would I buy the full-size?: Yes! I would go with the smaller size and see how it feels in the morning as well!
Name: Clinique Pore Refining Solutions – Charcoal Mask
Price: Full Size = $34.00 CAD
Review: I pretty much love charcoal-anything, so I was excited to try this mask. Texture-wise, it reminds me of the Glamglow Supermud face mask. It applies thickly, but you can manipulate it to thin it out, which is what I did since the sample was so small. Even though I had a thin layer on my skin, it dried down to a stiff/tight consistency, which I personally love. It washed off super easily using a damp cloth, and my skin felt smoother and softer, though I can’t really tell if it minimized my pores very much.
Would I buy the full-size?: Even though this is a great mask, I’ll stick with my other, more affordable, charcoal face masks.
Name: Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash Off
URL: https://sokoglam.com/products/skinfood-black-sugar-mask-wash-off
Price: Full Size = $10.00 USD (Approx $12.50 CAD)
Review: I actually really liked the texture of this mask. I’m usually not a huge fan of exfoliating/coarse masks (I try to limit the amount of exfoliation I do on my skin), but because this was sugar, it felt very gentle on my skin and any coarse sugar dissolved as I rubbed it in. It rinsed off easily, and my skin felt soft and smooth, but it actually seemed to have a bit of a natural “glow”, since it is an exfoliating mask.
Would I buy the full-size?: $12 for a huge tub of sugar mask, YES PLEASE!
Name: Dr. Belmeur Foam Cleanser
URL: https://thefaceshop.ca/en/daily-repair-foam-cleanser
Price: Full Size = $17.00 CAD
Review: I’ve tried a sample of this product before, and I really enjoy it. It foams up really nicely and feels almost creamy on the skin. After washing off, my skin feels soft and not too dry. It’s a nice gentle cleanser perfect for everyday use.
Would I buy the full-size?: Technically yes, but for the colder months, I prefer creamy face wash versus gel face wash.
Name: Marc Jacobs Mod Noir EDP
URL: https://www.sephora.com/marc-jacobs-mod-noir (I actually can’t find this product online to purchase, but I saw on some sites that it’s $80, wowza! If you find a link to buy, please leave it in the notes below!)
Price: Full Size = $80.00 CAD
Review: If you love floral scents, this is the perfume for you! This is a perfume that just isn’t for me, but it’s surprisingly tolerable in terms of scent – Though it’s floral, it’s not too overpowering like other floral perfumes. I’m just not a floral person so I couldn’t wait to shower it off at the end of the day (bonus, it lasted all day, which is a pro in my books, if only I liked the scent!)
Would I buy the full-size?: It’s not my kind of scent, so I’m going to pass!

Have a wonderful week and remember, you’re beautiful!
