2017 Gift Giving Guide – Men’s Edition

Happy Friday, Beauties!

Can you believe that we’re already in December? That means that there’s only 17 days until Christmas! I hope you have been enjoying my weekly gift giving guide and have found it to be helpful!

Every year, I find the hardest person to shop for is my Fiance, Sean. What do you get for the man who has everything? Seriously – He’s the type of guy who when he wants something, he just buys it for himself, and I can’t just get him socks and undies! If you’re like me and have a hard time shopping for the man in your life, be it your dad, brother, significant other or your BFF/Office hubby, here’s a list of great gifts to get you inspired!

Tweezerman GEAR Gift Him Facial Grooming Set ($77.00 CAD)

If your recipient has a beard/facial hair, this is such a great multi-purpose gift. Not only does it include tweezers (and we all know Tweezerman has the best tweezers in the market), but it also comes with a pair of trimming scissors, which he can use for his beard/facial hair, eyebrows, and even those pesky nose and ear hairs (if he’s coordinated enough for that!). This set also comes with a shaving cream brush, which from what I’m told, is a game changer for guys who shave their face on a regular basis. It even comes with a holder to help the brush dry after use, and a super nice carrying case. While this gift is a bit pricey, it’s definitely something a guy would own for years to come. If you want to add to this gift, pair it with a nice clay face mask or shaving cream – You can find both at a drugstore for more affordable options. This clay mask from Biotherm is Sean’s favourite because he only needs to use it once a week for 3 minutes!

The Art Of Shaving – Sandalwood Kit ($146.00 CAD)

When it comes to shaving products, according to Sean, The Art of Shaving is the best he’s ever used. Sean has really sensitive skin, so when he shaves, if he’s not using a pre-shave oil and a good razor, he gets really red, dry and irritated skin. So while this kit is quite expensive, he says it’s worth the price. I got him this set last year for Christmas, and he’s just now starting to run out of it – A little goes a long way. Not only that, but The Art of Shaving also has smaller beginner sets, which is what got Sean hooked in the first place. You can find the smaller gift sets at both Sephora and Shoppers Drug Mart for between $40 and $70, depending on the kit. You can pair this gift with a nice travel/toiletries bag – you can find many inexpensive ones from Winners or Marshall’s (Steve Madden or Fossil brand, to name a few) for less than $15!

Fragrance Sampler ($85.00 CAD)

This is probably one of the best gifts you can get the man in your life, especially if he likes cologne. These fragrance sampler sets are available almost everywhere – Shoppers Drug Mart has one, Sephora has one, and I even think Wal-Mart and Rexall are jumping on the bandwagon. This set includes 10 sample-sizes of cologne (good for at least one week of wear each). Your giftee then picks his favourite one of the bunch, and can redeem it at Shoppers Drug Mart (Or Sephora or wherever you purchased the set from) for 1 full size bottle of his choice. Think about this for a second – You paid $85, and your man can get a bottle of cologne worth upwards of $140 if not more – Now THAT is a great deal!

Gentleman’s Box (Monthly Subscription starting at $31.00 USD per month)

This gift is for the man that truly has everything. Gentleman’s Box is like the male version of Fab Fit Fun – kind of. Each month, Gentleman’s box currates a box filled with really nice, high quality items, like socks, ties, bowties, fragrances, skincare, accessories, etc. They even sometimes have specials where you can buy 3 “old” boxes (Old as in, previous months that have already passed) for 1 flat price. I got the bundle for Sean last year, and he got a variety of cool accessories and gadgets that he still wears and uses to this day! The best part about this gift is that if you chose to do an annual subscription, it’s like the gift that keeps on giving, the man in your life can look forward to receiving this box every month for the whole year!

Amazon Echo Dot ($49.00 CAD)

For the “techy” in your life – I know this has nothing to do with beauty and skincare, but I thought it would be important to include a tech gift idea, especially if the man in your life isn’t into beauty/skincare at all. This is definitely a different and unique gift beyond the usual headphones or phone accessories you’d normally get for the man in your life. Amazon has a promotion right now where you can get the 2nd generation of Echo for $49.00 CAD! This is especially an amazing gift if the man in your life owns “Smart” devices (Ie: TVs, Thermostats, Bluetooth lighting in his home, etc) – This device plays music on demand, can sync with your phone to create a shopping list, call or text friends, adjust your lighting in your home, turn your electronics on/off, adjust the temperature in your home, and everything in between. This truly is the gift of the ~future~. You could totally pair this gift with an extra phone charger (You can never have too many of those!), headphones, or even one of those phone key ring grips or PopSockets (Which can also be found on Amazon for super cheap!)

That’s it for this week’s edition of my 2017 Holiday Gift Giving Guide. I hope I have given you some inspiration on what to buy for the man in your life. Stay tuned next week where I’ll be discussing Stocking Stuffers!

Thanks for reading and remember, you’re beautiful!
